About our service
Affordable Therapy helps people connect with independent professionals for online conversations and personal support. We aim to make it easier to find a professional whose experience and communication style fit your needs. The exact nature of your session depends on the professional, your location, the professional's authorization to work with people in that location, and the service agreed upon before the session.
Information on this website is general and is not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for advice from a locally authorized healthcare professional. A connection through our website does not by itself establish a clinical patient–provider relationship.
International professionals & licensing
Our network is intended to include licensed therapists based in different parts of the world. A professional you meet may live in another country and hold a professional license or qualification issued there. Credentials, permitted scope of practice, and professional oversight differ between jurisdictions. You may ask for a provider's licensing jurisdiction and credentials before committing to a session. its your responsibility to verify
Privacy & data handling
When you contact us, information you choose to share may include your name, contact details, country or location, preferred plan, scheduling preferences, and the contents of your message. Please avoid sending detailed medical histories or other highly sensitive information through public social-media messages or unsecured channels.
We use contact information to respond to inquiries, coordinate introductions and sessions, provide customer support, and handle service-related requests. Where applicable, we may also process information to meet legal obligations, prevent misuse, and protect our service. Health-related information requires additional legal safeguards and an appropriate legal basis; it should only be collected when necessary.
Depending on the channel you select, your messages may also be processed by Instagram, Telegram, your email provider, or other service providers under their own privacy terms. Information may be transferred across borders when international professionals or providers are involved; any such transfer must meet applicable data-protection requirements.
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described and as required by applicable law. Actual retention periods, service providers, legal bases, and international-transfer safeguards must be specified in our final operational privacy notice.
Confidentiality & session privacy
We expect professionals to respect privacy, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality obligations that apply to their role and jurisdiction. Confidentiality is not absolute: disclosure may be required or permitted by applicable law, such as in certain situations involving immediate safety risks, safeguarding obligations, or valid legal orders.
For your privacy, attend sessions in a quiet and private location, protect access to your devices, and avoid recording or sharing a session without the other participant's informed permission and any legally required consent. The privacy and record-keeping rules for clinical therapy may differ from those for non-clinical coaching.
Sessions, pricing & cancellations
Session length, availability, time zone, price, payment method, rescheduling terms, and any refund eligibility should be confirmed before payment or booking. A booking is only confirmed once you receive an explicit confirmation. If a professional cannot provide the agreed service because of location or licensing restrictions, contact us to discuss available alternatives and any applicable refund.
We cannot promise a particular personal or clinical outcome. Please communicate scheduling changes as early as possible and use the agreed communication channel for administrative questions.
Respectful use & boundaries
Everyone using the service should communicate respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, threats, impersonation, unauthorized recordings, and misuse of another person's information are not permitted. Professionals must work within their competence, qualifications, legal authority, and ethical obligations. Users should provide accurate information about their location when arranging a session.
Online sessions require a reasonably stable internet connection and a private environment. If technical problems interrupt a session, contact the professional or our support channel to discuss the next step.
Not an emergency service
Affordable Therapy is not an emergency or crisis-response service. Messages may not be monitored continuously, and online appointments are not suitable for immediate danger, urgent psychiatric assessment, or emergency medical care. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or nearest emergency department. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, seek a local crisis service or an appropriately authorized healthcare professional.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, and complain to a relevant data-protection authority. Some rights have legal exceptions, including applicable professional record-retention duties.
